What I write: basically anything I want to. Generally, what gets shoved in here will be original and possibly male/male, or it will be poetry. Or best of all, it will be all of the above. Genre-wise I write fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy/ sci-fi, poetry, romance, and YA fiction. Beware! There be slash pirates here. I rarely like reading and writing het or femmeslash. If you don't like boys kissing, I suggest you find another journal to read.
Anyone who friends me here will be friended back, no questions asked. I will friends-lock all entries with sensitive themes, or ones that I'm just extremely shy about.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy your stay, no matter how long/ short it is. If you are looking for my personal journal, I suggest you stop by

A/N: Soooo guess who's been a horrible writer lately.... Yeah, that's write right..... I've been working on NaNoWriMo. I have a good excuse. I'm now past 50K, so I can relax a little. I'll probably just be archiving this more for myself than for anyone else because I'm fairly certain nobody actually reads this.... *ahem* Also, the bits of white text in the actual file makes me far happier than they should.
I'm starting to realize that this journal is used more for archival purposes than anything else.

so what if it hurts me? by =saturdayx on deviantART
He's got this look in his eyes that says please don't break me. It's written in the valley between his shoulderblades – the way his shoulders slump forward like pale precipices. His skin is so pale, brightening the contrast against his midnight hair. The pale moon, the black sky, and the gunmetal stars – the eyes.
So what if you break me? I don't care if you hurt me. Can't you see the way I steel myself against the casual brush of your fingertips. Can't you see the way I'm looking at you? The half formed gasp in my lips? My spine curves and my shoulders become a shield for my soul. Don't you see? You're too close - too far away. You're going to break me, you're going to hurt me. I'm okay with that; I'm okay with that. I'm okay….
And he's looking at me. He's asking me not to break him. I'm not so sure I can do that.

In that one moment, I could see her for some reason. So I asked, "What are you doing?"
She looked up at me, wide gray eyes taking in my presence – calculating how long I'd been watching her paint her wrists white. How long it would take me to figure her out.
"I'm starting over." Her hands were dripping with paint as she dragged them across my throat. "So are you."

So the assignment: Create a "Native American Name" for yourself, and then write a poem on it. She gave us a bunch of examples, where they're all "He did blah, and blah" or "she was always blah, and blah". And I'm like "Fuck you and your stupid third-person pronouns". So I created a poem using no pronouns at all, and substituted metaphor instead..... And this is what I came up with.
